I had the extreme pleasure of getting into The Karaoke Show at the China Club for free this past Saturday night. (From the people who brought you the Donkey Show). Only to be embraced by the extreme displeasure of the show itself. Not to mention the drinks which cost about a house payment each. They were stiff, though, which made the show far more enjoyable. In fact, most of the time, I had no idea it was a show at all. The story line was about as interesting to follow as some asshole blogger's rantings about their personal life. And that's after I already knew the storyline. It's loosely based on Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors . Somehow the story of twins separated at birth and their unsuspecting love interests is woven into a lame karaoke bar scenario. The best part, like karaoke itself, is singing along at the top of your lungs and making fun of everyone on stage.
