It seems, East Village, that I am doing something for you, too.

Everyone knew it was cool. The East Village, I mean. But now that I've moved there, I don't think it's a coincidence that it's just been named the #2 neighborhood in all of North America! The title was awarded by Project for Public Spaces who I've never heard of, but after today's news, I think they are very smart. Apparently, they are a non-profit organization with an international reputation for their work on the design and management of public spaces (blah, blah, blah.) I only have one thing to say to my much wealthier friends in the West Village: Nanny, nanny, boo boo. Stick your head in doo doo. Thanks to Curbed for this find.

Call Timothy "Speed" Levitch

  • This used to list Speed Levitch's phone number, but it doesn't work anymore. Now all I have for you is an old quote from his answering machine, which is pure poetry.
"I am lack of coordination being utilized. I am dysfunction gazing into the eyes of function. I am quieted, odd, menaced awkwardness dying at the altar of suave. They call me Levitch. Leave me a message."
  • Who?
